Capt. Dan Gellert

Capt. Dan Gellert during his career as airline pilot accumulated FAA captain type ratings on:
B-747, L-1011, A-300 B-767, B-757, B-727, DC-9/MD80, L-188 Electra, [P-3] EMB-145
 
As an Alaskan Bush Pilot Dan held:

  • ATP multi-engine land, commercial single engine land and sea,  multi-engine sea, and glider 

Dan also worked as:

  • FAA and airline flight and simulator Instructor
  • USAF MAC flight crew during the Vietnam War
  • Acceptance-production test pilot at Boeing and Douglas Aircraft
  • Has accumulated over 30,000 flight hours
     

Beyond flying Dan was:

  • Certified FAA Air Traffic Controller, Center, Oceanic, Station
  • Experience in Approach Control, FIR, AMIS, GCA/PAR

Besides aerospace safety Dan worked as a senior chemical operator at the U. S. Army Rocky Mountain Arsenal home of nerve gas, ammunition and worked in the production of unstable, gaseous and explosive materials.  Dan was an academic adjunct professor/instructor at Florida Institute of Technology in meteorology, air carrier operations management, engines and systems and other aviation and management related courses; has testified before Congress, NTSB. Grand and trial Juries, featured on national television such as the Today Show, and other local news programs and newspapers on aviation safety, crash and criminal investigations.
